Showcase SA Partners with NBN and Microsoft to Bring AI Know-How to Adelaide Businesses

Showcase SA was proud to partner with nbn and Microsoft to deliver NBN Connects with Microsoft: Leveraging Copilot AI to Boost Productivity, a full-day workshop held at the Hilton Adelaide in March.

Designed to help small and medium businesses move beyond the basics of Microsoft 365 and unlock the practical value of Copilot, the event brought together 80 SA businesses for a hands-on look at how AI can be applied across everyday business operations. With the vast majority of Australian SMEs already using Microsoft 365 in some capacity, the workshop focused on the gap between having the tools and actually using them, showing attendees how Copilot could save hours each week by automating routine work, streamlining reporting and supporting content creation.

As the local delivery partner, Showcase SA managed the event from the ground up. We promoted the workshop across our member and partner database, handled attendee communications and registration tracking, and coordinated venue, catering and AV requirements with the Hilton Adelaide in the lead-up to the day. On site, our team oversaw check-in, session logistics and the overall running of the program from 8.30am through to 3.00pm.

The day was structured across two sessions. The morning focused on marketing and sales, covering how Copilot can generate ready-to-use marketing content, analyse customer insights, draft sales reports and forecasts, and support customer follow-up and lead engagement. After lunch, the focus shifted to human resources and legal support functions, exploring how Copilot can help create HR documents and onboarding materials, automate parts of recruitment, and summarise contracts and compliance documentation.

Attendees heard directly from Microsoft’s Shraddha Limaye and AI adoption specialist Valentina Lazarevska, who brought both technical depth and practical, jargon-free guidance to the room. A limited group of attendees also joined a VIP lunch, giving them the opportunity to put business-specific questions directly to the speakers.

By combining a national partnership with local delivery expertise, Showcase SA helped connect Adelaide’s business community directly with two of the country’s major technology names, giving members practical tools they could start applying immediately.

We were pleased to support nbn and Microsoft in bringing this event to South Australia and look forward to continuing to bring valuable learning opportunities like this to our members.
