Kytons Bakery is celebrating being part of the South Australian Community for 85 years in 2023. We love being a part of this wonderful state so to launch our 2023 Hot Cross Bun Season we are running a “Charity Hot Cross Bun Run” across Adelaide & the Riverland.
On Tuesday 28th February our staff delivered freshly baked, award winning Kytons Hot Cross Buns to:
- The Hutt Street Centre
- Catherine House
- Murray Bridge Flood Relief Centre
- Anglicare SA’s Mary Magdalene Centre
- Fred’s Van (Vinnies)
These fabulous organisations will distribute the buns for their clients to enjoy as part of their many programs.
“We know that many people are finding life tough out there at the moment” says owner of Kytons Bakery Sharon Sutton, “so we thought we would spread some “bun-der-ful” love out there as we launch into our busiest season of the year. “
“An important part of the Kytons business is the Community Fundraising drives which we have been assisting community, sporting and school groups to run since the mid-1980s, but we also think it’s important to give back to the South Australian community directly. South Australians have supported Kytons over so many decades.”
“More recently, in the early weeks of the pandemic, Adelaideans went out of their way to help our business keep going during what should have been our busiest time of the year – Easter. Customers came from the other side of town to buy product and hand delivered fundraising orders to individual homes so their sporting and school fundraising drives could still go ahead. Their support was very humbling and amazing.”
Kytons hot cross buns are made with Australian Dried Fruit (that’s the plump, juicy ones), Laucke Flour and our time honoured recipes. They’ve even been awarded the best in Australia and are an Easter staple for thousands of South Australians.
