Paws For Change are thrilled to announce the opening of our newest sanctuary, Rescuetopia in Bali. Set on approximately 2200sqm in the Tabanan area near Tanah Lot, Resuetopia is our third sanctuary, built in partnership with Bali Rescue Dog Squad.
Rescuetopia provides a safe haven for dogs who have been abandoned, abused or neglected. Stage One is now open, funded through two years of solid fundraising initiatives and the incredible support of our dog loving community. We are looking forward to Stage Two, which will feature a purpose-built exercise and agility area, an on-site vet clinic, and adoption centre.
Our mission has been welcomed by the local community, who will benefit from vet care, advice, and education on animal welfare and pet ownership. We aim to reduce the number of dogs abandoned due to easily treatable conditions. Our ongoing sterilisation and vaccination programs will further help reduce unwanted litters on the island.
To support our cause, we are running a major fundraiser – the Bali Holiday Lottery. The lucky winner will enjoy a trip for two to Bali, including five nights’ accomodation and a VIP tour of our sanctuaries to witness our rescue work firsthand. The lottery will be drawn on August 31. Paws For Change is a registered Australian charity and beyond our Bali sanctuaries, we’re big supporters of local animal welfare groups. Our online store is packed with goodies for dogs and dog lovers alike, with many products designed and made in South Australia through disability employment programs.
For those who want to get even closer to the action, we offer a Virtual Adoption program where you can sponsor a rescue dog and receive adorable monthly ‘pupdates’ – perfect for individuals or as a team morale booster for your office! All sponsorships and donations are tax-deductible, with 100% of proceeds going straight to our rescue efforts.
