Set to open their fourth and largest store mid-October, Ecolateral offers a more sustainable way of living. As the longest running eco store in Australia, Ecolateral saw a major gap in our community with the closure of Oxfam. To honour the decades of Oxfam and Community Aid Abroad’s commitment, the new Ecolateral store will bring back Fair Trade products to the CBD.
This will include a large Free Trade giftware range, along with an extended version of their carefully curated range of sustainable living products. CEO of Ecolateral, Jamie Stott, stated “I’m so excited about the prospect of sharing Ecolateral with a more mainstream audience. Whilst we want to honour what Oxfam did this won’t be Oxfam 2.0 … we want to create a distinctly Ecolateral sustainable living experience, but at the the same time also increasing our range of Fair Trade items”
Ecolateral will be adding a beauty bar, offering raw ingredients for people to be able to make their own skincare and makeup, with the team looking to set up an educational centre to guide people through this.
Ecolateral is excited to appoint Karen Wahlstrom as the new city store manager, who worked with Oxfam for a total of 11 years, including 7 years as the Oxfam Adelaide store manager. Karen and the team will be ready to welcome Adelaide’s community to start their Fair Trade Christmas gift shopping.
With their growing popularity, Ecolateral is looking to extend their franchise in the first half of 2022… so keep your eyes peeled!
Showcase SA would like to congratulate Jamie Stott on this amazing accomplishment, along with her nomination in the Leadership Award Category for the 2021 SA Woman Awards.
