As the charismatic face of Nine News Adelaide, Will McDonald has reported on a multitude of events in his career. But the most compelling story he tells is his own.
At the young age of 42, Will was confronted with a Stage 4 Prostate Cancer diagnosis. The odds seemed daunting, but Will’s motto, ‘Pain is Inevitable. Suffering is Optional,’ guided him through the darkest of times. With unwavering determination, he not only survived but thrived.
Fast forward to this January, Will embarked on an entirely new adventure – fatherhood. Baby Alfie reinforced his belief that life can be extraordinary, no matter the challenges. In June, Will then conquered the Cairns Ironman Triathlon, a feat that pushed his physical, mental, and emotional limits to their utmost.
Will’s journey is a testament to the power of human spirit, and it’s perfectly aligned with the WellFest Pillars.
