As an organisation that prides ourselves on showcasing our local businesses, our Industry Showcase Expo encompassed this vision.
Hosted on 28th April 2021, this multi-tiered event brought together decision-makers from both SMEs and large companies to collaborate on upcoming tender-ready projects.
Motivated by the current state government’s objective of using local companies in public projects, the Industry Showcase Expo fostered networking with the end goal of growing our economy.
Attendees were able to sit-in on insight from leaders in Construction, Defence & Space, Technology, and Investment. Industry giants BAE Systems, Myriota, SAGE Automation and Nova Systems were just a few of those sharing their knowledge on Adelaide’s emerging opportunities.
Key insights from these four briefings stimulated conversation around how integral collaboration between sectors is to truly maximise all that South Australia has to offer.
With over 50 local exhibitors from a range of industries, the connections made on the day were motivated by this same goal.
The day was anchored by our CEO Luncheon, with guest key-note speakers George Freney, of Lunar Ascent, and recently appointed South Australian Chief Entrepreneur, Andrew Nunn sharing their insights into all things Space, Entrepreneurship, and Lot Fourteen.
“SA is the best place to be for future focussed roles” – Scott McLoughlin
Throughout the day, attendees became apparent of Adelaide’s true potential, commenting on our state’s investment potential. Attendees were proud to learn of Adelaide’s position at the forefront of innovation and were excited about the future opportunities for their businesses.
The Overseas Market Updates, hosted by the Department of Trade and Investment, connected attendees with offices from around the world. With COVID-19 shaking up the traditional understanding of international relations, these overviews provided support for those looking to break into new overseas markets.
