Water-IP

Having grown up with a family heavily involved in the irrigated horticultural industry in the Riverland, a hard work discipline become a part of my DNA. After leaving school I trained with and served with SAPOL for 5 years before returning to my roots on the family property.

With my parents and older brother, we developed citrus and vineyards and established one of the largest citrus packing businesses in Sth Aust. employing up to 60 people.

After selling the business, I bought a local Irrigation business.

The business serviced all aspects of water management from assessing the situation and assisting the customer in requirement decisions, designing, supply of materials, installation and maintenance.

I was involved in creating, and a foundation member of irrigation franchise group Think Water Aust. and Think Water NZ. and owning/operating Think Water Barmera.

Sold the business in 2007 and share in Think Water Group in 2018

Set up Water-IP in 2016 to service a select group of larger irrigators who required my 30 years of experience, knowledge and practical thinking when water and irrigation systems are required.

The irrigation, if fully involved, is a physical business. Now at 70 I am winding down. The body is not able to withstand the demands of the brains work ethic.

I intend continuing the personal touch with customers, take responsibility assisting them with decisions on their requirements and supervision of the more technical aspects of a job.

Many know that I am at the end of a phone to talk them thru an urgent issue or where to source an obscure item.

Throughout my, I believe, successful life and career my achievements have been done without qualifications or certifications.

People skills, work ethic, taking responsibility and willing to make decisions are the keys to success.  

A piece of paper is useless without these. Making a mistake is the best learning tool.
