Adelaide Convention Centre holds first exhibition since COVID restrictions

The Adelaide Convention Centre is celebrating a successful first COVID-Safe exhibition after the Wedding Expo was held at the weekend.

The Wedding Expo marked the iconic Riverbank venue’s first exhibition emerging from April’s COVID restrictions.

It’s a significant milestone for the state’s large-scale events industry given the disruptions caused by the pandemic.

The Adelaide Convention Centre implemented physical distancing protocols for the event, in line with the government’s COVID Safe requirements.

“The fantastic turnout illustrates a strong appetite for face-to-face events – we can’t wait to welcome more events, exhibitions and guests to the Centre in the coming weeks,” it said on its official social media.

The Adelaide Convention Centre is currently open to client events permitted under existing COVID restrictions.

It contains comprehensive COVIDSafe plan approved by the state government.

However it encourages prospective event holders to review its official COVIDSafe information at its website.
