This achievement places the renowned venue within the top 1% of restaurants in the nation – a testament to its unwavering dedication to culinary excellence.
Each year, AGFG awards Chef Hats to outstanding restaurants, following rigorous evaluation processes that recognise creativity, consistency, and overall quality. The Chef Hats symbolises not only a venue’s distinction but also its invitation for food enthusiasts to explore exceptional cuisine.
In 2024, The Kitchen at Bec Hardy received an impressive Two Hats and 14 points from AGFG marking its inaugural appearance in the awards. The 2025 recognition reaffirms its exceptional culinary reputation and ranks The Kitchen at Bec Hardy Wines as the 7th best restaurant in South Australia.
In addition to its AGFG achievements, Bec Hardy wines is a certified member of Sustainable Winegrowing Australia and has previously been recognised as the Regional Export Company of the Year at the SA Premier’s Export Awards in 2021.
Bec Hardy Wines is a family-owned wine business based in McLaren Vale, South Australia. Bec is a 6th generation member of and the first female vigneron from one of Australia’s oldest wine families, the Hardys.
