My Care Solution Launch Unique Mature Aged Traineeship

Earlier this month, home care provider My Care Solution, launched their new and unique Mature Age Traineeship, in partnership with the State Government Department for Skills and Innovation.

The traineeship, which is the first of its kind in Australia, will be offered to eligible mature aged South Australian, who are able to enter or re-enter the workforce with a wealth of lifetime experience and skills behind them.

The value of these individuals in the aged care sector is unparalleled, with the aim of the traineeship to build upon applicants existing personal attributes whilst providing them with the relevant skills and educated required for the role.

With two parts to the program, applicants can expect to participate in a practical based pre-traineeship program, which will introduced applicants to the basics of the role and provide smart phone technology support.

At stage ones completion, participants will embark on a 12-month part-time traineeship in the aged care industry, in order to gain hands on experience.

Candidates who successfully complete both parts to the traineeship will then be offered employment with My Care Solution themselves or, a partnered provider.

The initiative is hoping to counteract the increased demand for aged care workers, which is set to skyrocket over the years with an estimated need for 2.500 new employees every year for the next 30 years.

With its huge regard for success, the National Seniors Australia is aiming for the pilot to be extended nationwide, top keep up with this growing demand.
