Ali Clarke has been a mainstay of the Adelaide media scene for over 20 years. Best known for her Number 1 rating radio stints on MIX102.3, Triple M and the ABC, she finally said goodbye to the early mornings and is now a part owner of South Australia’s Prohibition Gin, serving on their advisory body as well as on the organising committee for the upcoming World Beach Volleyball Championships. Â
A much loved MC and facilitator, in 2024 she battled breast cancer and is now healthy and chasing around her three children and football-coach husband.
Leah Baylis is the Managing Director of Champagne Recruitment, a firm she founded in July 2021 to bring a human-centric approach to talent acquisition. With over fifteen years of recruitment experience in Melbourne and Adelaide, Leah has built a reputation for fostering genuine relationships and ensuring the perfect fit between employers and candidates.
In 2023, she was diagnosed with stage 3 hormone-receptive breast cancer—an aggressive and rapidly growing tumor that could not be detected through self-exams or mammograms. Because of her vigilance, the cancer was caught before spreading to her lymph nodes, she is currently taking a medication called Tamoxifen which is a medication used in the treatment of breast cancer.
Determined to turn her experience into a force for good, Leah now encourages women to be proactive about their health, advocating for early detection and education and proudly serves as an ambassador for The Hospital Research Foundation Group raising awareness and funding for breast cancer research. With a seven-year-old daughter also at high risk, Leah is committed to ensuring future generations have better prevention, detection, and treatment options.
