Showcase South Australia Launches $100k Bushfire Package To Assist Impacted Businesses

Since December 20, 2019, Showcase South Australia has been working with our sister business Glam Adelaide to assist those impacted by the South Australian bushfires. Together, the businesses have been organising a major fundraiser, set for January 31, which has sold out at 1400 tickets, already raising over $250,000 for those affected by the fires.

Showcase SA has also just launched the new I Choose SA business directory and information portal, which will help the public to find South Australian owned and operated businesses to support, in a similar way to the previous I Choose SA Directory that was run by Brand SA.

It seemed logical, given the timing of everything, that we launch the www.ichoosesa.com.au website with a focus on bushfire impacted businesses, as everyone we’ve spoken to wants to spend with them, and support them (& #bookthemout). As such, we’ve added a ‘bushfire’ category, so you can not only search by location, or key word and category, but you can now find those directly impacted by the bushfires. All SA businesses can add their own listings for free here.

It wasn’t enough though. We’ve seen and heard firsthand, how devastating the fires have been for SA businesses, and with many of our clients affected, we wanted to do more.

Showcase South Australia and Glam Adelaide are now proud to announce a 12 month collaboration to assist businesses impacted by the recent bushfires.

Alongside community radio station, Fresh 92.7, the businesses will be donating a series of packages, accumulatively worth over $300,000.

Showcase South Australia, off the back of relaunching the I Choose SA Directory, will be providing $100,000 worth of free premium listing upgrades for all bushfire impacted businesses. This premium listing, which is valued at $500, will be provided free of charge for 12 months. All Kangaroo Island businesses are welcome to take advantage of the I Choose SA offer, as well as those Adelaide Hills businesses directly affected by the Cudlee Creek fires.

To take advantage of this offer, use the code ‘bushfire’ when in the payment stage of adding your business listing.

Glam Adelaide, South Australia’s largest lifestyle news website, will be offering 100 x $1000 promotional packages to businesses directly impacted by the bushfires, to help promote their products, services or destinations on Glam Adelaide. We know that all businesses affected will need help not only now, but in the months to come, so by working together in 2020 we hope to use the $100,000 package, to share their stories, and how the community can help, on our website and social media channels.

Fresh 92.7 is also pledging $100,000 worth of sponsorship to businesses affected by the bushfire crisis. Give A Little Love is a community service announcement program, which provides free on-air and online promotion, encouraging the community to get behind our local small businesses.

For those wanting to support bushfire affected businesses, please share the www.ichoosesa.com.au directory in your networks, so we can help spend with them and book them out.

The public are also welcome to bid on the SA4SA Bushfire Appeal Gala Dinner auction, which is open now. Check out the amazing auction items and experiences that have been donated here, and see all the wonderful businesses who have donated. The gala is supporting the SA Bushfire Appeal.
